So this isn't completely about London, but Kaitlin and I went to a book signing yesterday in Union Square. We waited from 10am until 7pm, sitting in the front row and waiting to see Russell Brand (who is from Essex).
His new book, Booky Wook 2, came out recently, and he gave a short performance and did a book signing. I bought both of his books, even though I haven't read them yet, and both are now signed.
It was awesome seeing him onstage in person, and getting to talk to him during the book signing. He's a really funny comedian and actor and a great singer ("Going Up," one of his songs from the movie Get Him to the Greek is playing on my blog). Kait took some great pictures while I recorded the whole thing on my camera. It was a long wait, but it was really awesome to get his autograph and to chat with him a little bit. I asked him about Noel Fielding, another British comedian who is similar to Russell and also really great. Russell was so nice a good to his fans. It was an awesome experience, and I can't wait to listen to those British accents constantly next semester!More pictures here
